::: Cold Drawn Steel Bars (by Location)
Individual product features of steel bars offered by our STLCD/QES facilities:- Diameter control can be maintained as close as +/-.0004" in the cold drawn condition on certain high volume applications.
- Straightness is measured on a T.I.R. basis.
- Length tolerance is maintained well within the industry standards. Linear motor shears have been installed in several of our locations which allow for length tolerance to be held within +/- .125".
- All coil-to-bar drawing lines are equipped with non-destructive eddy current surface
in-line testing.
- Chamfering one end on rounds and hexagons is available on sizes produced on our II-B, III-B, and Danieli drawing lines in St. Louis and on the II-B drawing line at ATP. Our Danieli drawing lines in West Virginia are capable of facing and chamfering both ends of each bar.
