At St. Louis Cold Drawn, team members and management must support our corporate production philosophy on a daily basis. Our production philosophy is to develop and maintain dynamic production processes that are responsive to changing customer requirements and are easily modified to meet these requirements.

We also expect our processes to be free from the waste of defective raw materials, excessive cost, inconsistent production policies, team member error and management inefficiencies.

In our company, the work team is the heart of production processes since it is the team member that determines output, quality, and ultimately, cost. The St. Louis Cold Drawn management team's emphasis is on the development of team member skills by continuously increasing responsibility and control over production processes.

With this ambitious production philosophy, St. Louis Cold Drawn had to have a system to coordinate efforts throughout the company. Therefore, the St. Louis Cold Drawn Total Quality Production System (STQPS) was developed. STQPS is the living blueprint for creating an environment of continuous improvement by the identification and elimination of waste.
